Which is your favourite FTP client?
I really like Smart FTP
Especially after their recent update...they look much better + neater. They are easy to use and have a nice interface. Atleast better than most other softwares out there. It was the first software I used and mostly the ONLY one that I will be using it

I use smartFTP just because it's the first one I downloaded and I don't see anything wrong with it. FTP clients dont have much to them.

SmartFTP is my favorite and it's what I use. I tried out CuteFTP once, but I wasn't comfortable with its layout.

I use filezila at home
And I use http://web2ftp.com/ at college because the colleges proxy server will not allow ftp programs.

I use WS_FTP to upload my files. I think it's really nice cause it's easy to use, and fast. Lots of functions too.

I use leechftp. Its free, and very easy to use. I've been using it for a couple of years now, and it has never given me any trouble.

I remember an online FTP client. I used to use it, but it turns out to be way too slow, and has lots of limits. Although it is very useful when you are always on the go.

FTP is really insecure. It sends your password over unecrypted. Any packet sniffer coud get all the info needed to gain access to your hosting account. I like to use WinSCP for it's Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP), but some hosts don't support it. If I cannot use it and I have to use FTP, I tend to go with FileZilla because it's open source and has an FTP server to go with it. My brother and I used to run our own servers to share files with each other...it was kind of stupid, but we were dumb.

I also use SFTP for that very reason.

Same here. Cute FTP Pro is what I use to connect via SFTP. SFTP, for anyone who does now know, is FTP over an SSH connection. SSH does basically the same as Telnet, but it is secure.
FileZilla is a free FTP program that also supports SFTP. I recently tested it out before recommending as a free SFTP solution to a friend and it seemed to work perfectly.
