Hey fellow geeks :] I'm 16 years old and I'm from Canada. I joined this forum to meet other geeks, because being the only geek in my school, it gets kinda lonely... and tough when no one understands you. My best friend and I are COMPLETE opposites, and she can never understand why I spend hours on the computer researching or why I change all my desktop/folder icons daily, and I can never understand how she likes spending hours outside in the sunlight(eek! For me, sunlight= burns... I always keep emergency sunblock on hand) feeding cows and riding horses. Its especially hard being a geek girl in a school with no geek guys. Sure, there's gamers, but I'm not a gamer geek. I'm taking a career course right now on PC Maintenance and Repair, and I love researching new programs, updating my software whenever I can, and just making my computer run faster :P I'm a Star Trek/Star Wars fan, and I love Japanese Animation :] I wanted to join this to meet people who can actually understand me (as rare as it seems right now), to learn more about other types of geeks, and just to have fun
P.S. Sorry about the long introduction :P Oh, and I'm a Microsoft fan, but I hope to learn more about Macintosh, because to be honest, I know nothing about it :P As a Windows user all my life, I'm up for new challenges
