Default How do you feel about the PS3 price

The PS3 has two versions just like the 360, but is going to cost more. $499 for the 20GB, and $599 for the 60GB. I think I'm goin to get the 20GB and call it a day. I am only going to use it for gaming anyway.

It's not just the hard drive that is different in the cheaper version... The 'core' PS3 pack doesn't have HDMI out, or WiFi- so no fancy HD or wireless internet

I think it will be a console for hardcore gamers. Casual gamers will buy something cheaper like the Wii and only people who want to take advantage of the power of the PS3 will fork out for it.

Personally, I'll be saving up and buying one.

The release isn't due until November - I would be suprised to see the price drop in a month, unless they change their minds about the price before release, which seems unlikely since they've always been pretty clear about it being an expensive system.

Default The PS3 20GB vs 60GB

Right said. The PS3 20GB is the right choice when considering cost but also keep in mind that the 60 GB model would be the only configuration to feature an HDMI port, Wi-Fi internet, flash card readers and a chrome trim with the logo in silver.

You might want to have a bigger hard drive so you can put more games onto the PS3 and load the games directly from the hard drive. That way the games will run faster.
