Default Linux + Mac = Server?

Could a Mac running Linux be a server? Would it have any benefits or disadvantages?

You could use Linux on a Mac. How well it will run I couldn't tell you. I found this website out on google. http://www.mac.linux-m68k.org/ Maybe they could be more helpful. If anyone else has experience run Linux on a Mac, or using a Mac as a server please chime in.

Why wouldn't you run Apache under the MacOS? The underlying portion of the OS is based off BSD.
