I haven't used a screen saver in years. Maybe because I've switched computers so many times and forgot about it. Right now though I don't really need one anyway, whenever I'm on the computer I stay on the computer, it's only idle when I log off or shut down.
Screen savers are only necessary for old CRT monitors. They have no practical use anymore to prevent image "burning", however they are useful for other purposes. You can password protect them to prevent people from using your computer. Also they can be fun to look at. I used to have an aquarium for my screen saver that allowed you to customize fish etc. It was fun to look when I wasn't using my computer.

My PC doesn't have a screen saver and I actually prefer it because it reminds me to turn off my screen when I walk away from my computer for more than twenty minutes or so. It gives me a reason to be more mindful I guess in saving energy.

Hey, I am using a "starfield" as screen server, that is usually coming with windows XP, I really love that, when I see that, I feel that I am going inside of it and getting a kind of mental relax

My monitor switches off after like 10 mins of idle, so I have no need for a screen saver.

Default Do you have a screen saver

I actually have two TVs. Both are Samsung, but one is a 26-inch HDTV LCD model and the other one is an older 4:3 analog set I bought eight years ago.
