Default Important Questions About Server

Hello Guys I am a new user for Ubuntu 8.04 server

and I installed a webmin control panel but I have a some questions I hope someone can answer it for me , I finished everything and I registered a new domain for my server , then , I registered my domain in ZoneEdit.com coz I do not have DNS :

I am placing my server inside a home network so I have two IP address
network IP address : 192.168.2.2 ( it is unique in my network)
and internet IP address: 77.212.2.126 ( it is shared by all my machine inside the network)

so, it is obvious that I have to provide the DNS my internet IP but how can the DNS know my network IP ?

and also inside my network when I type : 192.168.2.2 I can see the webpage of the server

but when I type the internet IP I can not ? why is there a problem in my configuration ?

What you will need to do is log in to your home routers configuration section and find something for port forwarding. In the DD-WRT firmware(which is what I use at home) it is under NAT > Port Forwarding. Under this section you can provide a outside port number, your private IP(your dhcp LAN IP), and the inside port number. Then click save and see if you can access your website.

One thing that may have issues with is since you are on your home network you have a dynamic IP address to the outside world. You may need some kind of client to auto update zoneedit.com with your public IP address.
