Default Yummy Recipes

Okay, I admit. I am addicted to FoodTV...However, after surfing their site for the last 2 hours I haven't quite found a grill chicken recipe/marinade that I'd like to try. Anyone got a quick and easy one?!?!

Like to cook? Got yummy recipes you'd like to share? Post here!!!

Grilled chicken...

Step1 Pour Orange and lime juice over chicken
Step2 Pour Tequila (or beer) over chicken
Step3 Empty the contents of your spice cabinet into the mix***
Step4 Bake

***I use *LOTS* of cumin, *LOTS* of Mexican Chili powder, garlic, onion salt, cloves, allspice, cilantro, oregano, etc.

Note: You can turn the marinade into a glaze by adding a bunch of sugar and at the end of cooking when chicken is almost done, add chicken & mix to a very hot skillet.

Cover up chicken with this marinade in a big ziploc bag the night before, the next day, grill it up! SOOOOOOO good - it's like my favorite meal my mom makes.

I just love Lawry's Herb and Garlic marinade on chicken. It's a 30 minute marinade and has so much flavor. Yum.

Gobhi Mushroom Chilli Fry

Method

Wash cauliflower and break into medium-sized florets. Clean, wash and cut mushrooms into quarters. Remove stems, wash and chop green chillies. Trim, wash and chop spring onions finely. Chop greens and keep separately. Peel, wash and chop garlic. Mix together cornstarch, half of the soy sauce, salt and green chillies and prepare a thick batter using water as required. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Dip cauliflower florets in this batter and fry till golden brown. Drain and keep aside. Keep remaining batter aside. Heat one tablespoon of oil in a pan and sauté chopped spring onions. Add garlic and continue to sauté on high heat till translucent. Add mushrooms and cook taking care that mushrooms are not overcooked as they shrink. Add remaining soy sauce, fried cauliflower, salt, white pepper powder and MSG. Add remaining batter, cook till thick. Serve hot garnished with spring onion greens.
