I never tryed Paint Shop Pro, but I do like Photoshop. I mainly use it for editing PSD files.

I started off with Corel Draw, then PSP and moved on to Photoshop, also ImageReady is alot easier to control than Jasc (animation shop?), i find it far superiour to PSP for general raster images. However for vectors I use Flash and Illustrator.

PSP Hits deadends, Photoshop rams through them like a raging bull

The thing I like about Photoshop is that the tools are easy and you can always see what tools your using.

I would have to say Photoshop. It has more support on the web available for it and it has more tutorials dedicated directly to it online as well. Plus, I just can't get enough of the filters and hidden features.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Macromedia's Fireworks, which I've been using to do mostly all my graphics work. I've tried PSP and PS but just couldn't get the hang of it, I have very little graphics skillz. :|

I love Photoshop more than any other graphics program out there. I like it better than both PaintShopPro and Fireworks. I think there's just so much more to do and a better interface on photoshop.
