Default Are the headaches of dedicated worth it?

I've owned a dedicated server for some time now, though have been having a rough patch with it lately.

Numerous problems over the past few days have lead to Apache rebuilds, SQL reinstalls etc etc hence significant downtime. Unfortunately, I cannot afford a managed solution so it is up to me to fix problems such as these. Although I've been able to so far, this has amounted to downtime and cost me several hours of my own time.

My question is, is all this hassle worth it or would I benefit more from a reseller account where a certain amount of responsibility is taken away? I know I'm limited to what I can run, but if it saves me having to rebuild everyday perhaps I could live with it!
