Default Finding an email

I use the following system:

OS: RHE
Control Panel: Plesk 7.5.x
Email server: One that comes with 7.5.x

I'd like to find copies of emails that I received a couple of months ago. How do I go about this? Where do I start?

If your talking about email you deleted off of your server, then its gone for ever. The best you can hope for is if you use outlook express, check your deleted folder. Also you can set up outlook express to leave a hard copy of the email on the server for so many days. Hope that helps.

I never deleted these emails by myself, although it's possible that the server is set up to delete emails after a certain period of time.

... is the default configuration of server set up to delete emails? How can I check to see if that is the case?

(I might be asking trivial questions, but as I noted in the other thread, I know very little about administering the server.)

Next time when your using your outlook express. Go to the property's of your email account. And click the advanced tab, there you will find a setting to leave the mail on the server for so many days.

And this setting alone determines if the email server needs to leave each email or not and how long the email server needs to leave each email?

BTW, nothing is checked, so I guess email has been deleted ...

Well, we all (certainly I) learn from mistakes.
